Avila Beach Vacation - Something For
Everyone
Avila
Beach
can be an ideal travel destination for many reasons. This tiny town in San
Luis Obispo County California is quiet, friendly, and
relaxing—and, it is also quite beautiful. Unlike many beach
cities in California, Avila Beach is not densely populated…so,
a vacation to this quaint oceanside town can be just right for
many couples. Could this be your beach
vacation?
Avila
Beach faces south and it is generally free from the winds and
fog that other beaches on the coast suffer because it is
protected by Point San Luis and the San Luis Bay. Because of this, Avila
Beach enjoys a moderate climate that fluctuates very little
throughout the year.
This town is usually warmer than other beach towns on
the coast of California
As
mentioned before, this is a quiet town—the local population is
only around 800.
So, visiting Avila Beach is not going to be like
visiting any other tourist destination. Here, all travelers
are greeted with kindness and generosity. Locals often go out of
their way to help vacationers to find their way around or to
locate a specific store or to discover one of the hidden
treasures of the town.
Restaurant owners, as well as spa and hotel operators,
frequently offer guests little extras, just to make their
vacation special.
Avila Beach is just filled with amazingly welcoming and
hospitable people.
Speaking
of the restaurants, there are quite a wide variety of
eateries.
Vacationers can opt for fine dining or they can choose
to eat at one of the pier-side cafes. Along the piers in
Avila Beach, vendors will catch fresh seafood. Then, they allow
customers to select the crabs, fish, or other sea creatures
they prefer, which they then cook up fresh. Seafood lovers will
definitely enjoy this treat!
There
are several hotels in Avila Beach from
which travelers can choose. Romantic suites are
available for couples on honeymoons or special weekend
getaways. Or,
vacationers can stay in less-expensive rooms, however, you
won't sacrifice quality—nothing at Avila Beach is substandard
in quality.
Travelers
can, of course, enjoy the relatively unpopulated beaches
during their Avila Beach vacation. But, there are plenty
of other activities to keep tourists busy as well.
Sport
fishing is a popular activity for locals and tourists both in
Avila Beach.
Fishing can be done off any of the three piers
along the beach.
Or, vacationers can rent a charter boat—there are
specific charters for Rockcod, Albacore, and Salmon, or
general charters can be rented. Whale-watching cruises
are also available for those who prefer not to
fish.
Avila
Beach is also well-known for its hot springs, which
vacationers can visit and try at one of the spa resorts in
town. While
there, travelers can also partake in many other spa services,
such as wild lime scalp treatments, vitalize enzyme facials,
Sycamore integrative massages, hot stone therapy, and Tai Chi
classes.
Golf,
too, is a big attraction in Avila Beach. The town boasts a 6500
yard championship course that is suitable for golfers of all
ability levels.
Give
Avila Beach
a try for your next vacation—you will be glad you
came.
