Mexico Beach Vacation - Ideal For Weddings, Quiet Vacations and More

Many people have not heard of Mexico Beach in Florida.  This is probably because this is such a small community—one that doesn’t even have any traffic lights.  But, just because it doesn’t have traffic lights, don’t make the mistake of thinking that Mexico Beach is a behind-the-times town.  This couldn’t be further from the truth. Find out more here.

The truth is, Mexico Beach doesn’t need traffic lights.  This is because the town is located miles away from every other city.  But, this isolation makes this destination ideal for anyone looking to get away from it all.  The three and a half miles of white sandy beaches on the edge of the crystal clear ocean waters of the Gulf aren’t packed with tourists and sightseers.  Instead, there are times when a person can take a walk on the beach and only see a few other people, if any at all.  The remoteness of Mexico Beach makes it a favorite destination of many travelers.

Because the beaches are so beautiful and secluded, many people choose to get married at Mexico Beach.  Quite a lot of couples opt for either sunrise or sundown weddings on the beach, where they can have photographers capture every moment with the turquoise waters behind the wedding party.

There are many options for accommodations in Mexico Beach—some of which are ideal for newlyweds or couples looking for a romantic holiday.  Vacation rentals are available, many of which are homes or condos directly on the beach.  Four hotels are located in Mexico Beach as well, each of which is different in size and style.  Or, if a person is more adventurous, he could choose to stay in one of the Recreational Vehicle (RV) parks in the area.  Both RV parks are full-service, and one offers cabin rentals, which is a very affordable option for budget-minded vacationers.

Mexico Beach is secluded and quiet; however, this does not mean that it is boring by any means.  There are plenty of activities to keep travelers busy…if, that is, they choose to be busy.

Water sports and activities are popular choices for vacationers and locals of Mexico Beach.  Parasailing, water-skiing, jet-skiing, surfing, and more are nearly always available on the beaches.  Golf is another well-liked pastime.  And, a lot of people like to stroll through the antique shops located throughout the town, looking for special deals.

Many people also enjoy fishing off of the Mexico Beach Fishing Pier or near Mexico Beach Canal Park.  But, a lot of travelers also find it pleasurable to charter a fishing boat.  Fishing boat captains can take passengers to some of the best fishing hotspots in the Gulf area.

Seafood restaurants are, of course, one of the most prevalent dining establishment types in Mexico Beach.  But there are other options for places to eat for when vacationers are looking for a different taste.  Dining places are, for the most part, locally owned and operated rather than being franchises of national chain restaurants.

Whether you are looking for a wedding destination, a relaxing vacation, or just a chance to get away from it all, a Mexico Beach vacation is the place for you.
